Four found dead beside highway in Narayanganj

Four unidentified youths have been found dead beside the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway in Narayanganj’s Araihazar Upazila.

The police who discovered the bodies on Sunday morning believe the four youths died in “gangland violence”.

Abdullah Al Mamun, additional superintendent of police, was quoted by bdnews24.com as saying that they seized bullets, two pistols, and a microbus from the scene.

The four men were found dead next to the highway in the Pachrukhari area, he said.

Though police initially reported that the four had been shot, it was later revealed that they had severe injuries on their heads.

The cause of death will be determined after an autopsy, said police official Mamun.
