The Director General (DG) of Indian Coast Guard Krishnaswamy Natarajan arrived in Dhaka on Sunday on a four-day visit.
The Director General is accompanied by two delegation members, says a media release.
During the visit, he will meet high ranking dignitaries of Bangladesh- the Home Minister, Chief of Naval Staff, Director General of Bangladesh Coast Guard, says the release.
The Director General will also attend a high level meeting between Indian and Bangladesh Coast Guards.
The visit of the Chief of Indian Coast Guard to Bangladesh will strengthen defence cooperation particularly in the field of maritime domain and will fortify the close and fraternal ties existing between the Coast Guards of the two countries, says the release.
