Law enforcers arrest 26 in Dinajpur

Law enforcers, in special drives arrested 26 people including six drug traders from different areas of Dinajpur district in last 12-hour ending at 8:00am on Thursday morning.

Law enforcers also seized 189 bottles of phensidyl syrup during the drives.

Police said they were picked up from different areas of the district on different charges.

Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrestees.

The arrestees were sent to jail, reports BSS.

In Hakimpur upazila, members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive detained three drug suspects along with 109 bottles of phensidyl syrup at around 6:00am from Hili Railway Station of the district.

BGB said the detainees were handed over to the Hakimpur Thana police.
