Law enforcers recover 46 firearms from Cumilla in two months

Members of law enforcement agencies in regular drives recovered a total of 46 firearms from different upazilas of Cumilla district in September and October.

According to district law and order committee, police recovered 35 firearms including one rifle, one pistol, two revolvers, one pipe gun, two LG, one shutter gun, three locally made firearms, 14 bullets, 10 cartridges in September.

While 11 firearms, including one pistol, four bullets and six cartridges have been recovered in October, reports UNB.

Sayed Nazrul Islam, Superintendent of Comilla Police, said the members of law enforcement agencies have been kept alert due to the forthcoming national election and such drive will continue to ensure security of people.
