BNP Magura district Joint Convener Syed Mokaddes Ali died at Anwar Khan Modern Hospital in the capital on Saturday night. He was 74.
Mokaddes, who had long been suffering from asthma, breathed his last around 11:40pm.
He left behind his daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
His body was kept at Birdem Hospital’ mortuary and will be buried after his daughter’s arrival from the US, reports UNB.
