Man kills wife, surrenders in Satkhira

A man surrendered to police after killing his wife in Kaliganj upazila in Satkhira on Wednesday.

Subir Dutta, officer-in-charge of Kaliganj Police Station, said Jalal Sana of Raghunathpur village slaughtered his wife Nasima Khatun, 35, in the early hours and turned up at the police station in the morning.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, reports UNB.

Jalal had been mentally imbalanced for the last few days, the OC said, adding that the couple had two school-going daughters.
