A Satkhira court has sentenced a man to death for killing his wife in Kalaroa upazila in 2012.
Satkhira District and Session Judge Sadiqul Islam Talukdar handed down the verdict on Thursday after examining records and witnesses.
The convict Abdus Sabur, 52, son of Abul Kashem Molla of Murarikati village, strangled his second wife Romesa Khatun, daughter of Meher Ali Sardar of Kumarnal village, to death following an altercation between them on October 20 2012, UNB reported.
Later, locals caught Sabur and handed him over to police, according to the case statement.
