A fourteen-year-old girl was gang raped by some miscreants at her Sheurkhal village house in Balaganj upazila of Sylhet on Thursday.
On Friday, victim's father filed a case with Balaganj Police Station over the incident accusing six people.
According to the case statement, two next-door youths - Ahad Ali and Azar Ali - along with four other unnamed accomplices, who were lurking nearby, intercepted her daughter when she went out of her room on Thursday night.
Later, the culprits forcibly took her to a cowshed and violated her in turns. Upon hearing hue and cry, family members rushed in and took her to Sylhet Osmani Medical College and Hospital. In the meantime, all of the accused had fled the scene.
Officer-in-Charge of Balaganj Police Station Gazi Ataur Rahman said police arrested Ahad and Azar on Saturday afternoon, who were named in the case statement, UNB reported.
Different human rights groups have been vocal over the rape and demanded exemplary punishment of the perpetrators.
