A grocer was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants at Alamdanga upazila in Chuadanga on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Hasibul Islam, 30, son of Abdul Kuddus of Ailhas village in the upazila.
Locals spotted the body in a field at Hossainpur village and informed police, said Abu Zihad Fakhrul Alam Khan, officer-in-charge of the Police Station.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to local hospital morgue for an autopsy, he added.
Hasibul went out from his home on Friday like other days, but did not return home, said family members.
