Miscreants shoot dead UPDF activist in Khagrachhari

A group of miscreants have gunned down an activist of United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) at Harinathpar area under Khagrachhari Sadar upazila on Saturday morning.

UPDF sources said the deceased, Dilip Kumar Chakma alias Binoy (43), son of Shantos Kumar Chakma was sitting in front of a house along with other activists when the miscreants appeared there and shot Binoy.

The shooting left him dead on the spot around 8:30 am, says a local news agency report.

Police have not yet recovered the body, said Tarek Mohammad Abdul Hannan, Officer-in-Charge of Khagrachhari Sadar Police Station.
