The mortal remains of Zayan Chowdhury, one of the victims of Easter Sunday bombings in Sri Lanka, arrived in Bangladesh on Wednesday afternoon.

A Sri Lankan Airlines flight carrying his body landed at Dhaka airport at around 12:45pm.

Zayan, 8, was the grandson of Awami League leader Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, the cousin of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

His body will be taken to their Banani house and he will be later laid to rest at Banani graveyard after a namaz-e-janaza, says a UNB report.

At least 359 people were killed and over 500 others injured in a series of deadly bomb blasts in several churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.

According to a bdnews24 report, Zayan had travelled to Sri Lanka with his parents on a holiday tour. His father Moshiul Haque Chowdhary Prince was also injured in the attacks. He is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital in Colombo.
