Police on Wednesday arrested three people for allegedly gang-raping a female Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinee in Dhanbari upazila of Tangail.
The arrestees are Abdur Rahman, Majharul Haque and Jalu Miah of the upazila.
They were arrested from different areas of the upazila, said officer-in-charge of Dhanbari Police Station Mojibur Rahman.
He said the trio called the victim to a mess at Lichubagan of Nawabbari on October 27 promising to give her suggestions of SSC examination.
When the victim went to the dormitory, they confined her there and violated her throughout the night.
Victim's father filed a case with Dhanbari Police Station in this regard on Wednesday, reports UNB.
The victim was sent to Tangail Medical College Hospital for treatment.
