Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) detained a Bangladeshi national along with 6.30 lakh fake Indian currency in Shibganj upazila on Saturday night.
The arrestee was Masud Rana, 28, son of Mir Hossian, a resident of Chouka village in bordering Monkasha union of the upazila.
Acting on tip-off, a team of Rab-5 conducted a drive at a house in the village and arrested Rana along with the fake Indian rupees around 9:00 pm, said Squadran leader Mohamamd Sayed Abdullah Al Murad,comanding officer of Rab-5, according to agency report.
A case was filed.
