A young man was beaten to death allegedly by his rivals over previous enmity in Dohar upazila of Dhaka on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Foysal Sheikh, 18, son of Majnu Sheikh of Muksudpur Shantinagar.
According to Sazzad Hossain, officer-in-charge of Dohar Police Station, Foysal's family had an enmity with Munni, first wife of Foysal's elder brother.
As a sequel to that, Munni's associates intercepted Foysal while he was going for a football match and beat him up mercilessly, leaving the victim dead on the spot, UNB reported.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Mitford Hospital morgue.
