The officer-in-charge (OC) of Rupganj Police Station Mohammad Maniruzzaman has been withdrawn following the directives of the Election Commission (EC).
Inspector Abdul Haq was assigned as the new OC of the police station on Thursday morning, said Mohammad Anisuddin Bahadur, senior assistant superintendent (circle C) of Narayanganj Police.
The OC was attached to the district police lines, UNB reported quoting Anisuddin.
