Two workers have died in a septic tank accident in Madaripur, said police.
The incident took place on the property of Habibur Rahman in Madaripur’s Pakdi around 12:00 pm on Saturday, said Madaripur Sadar Police OC Quamrul Hassan.
The deceased were identifies as Sirajul Matabber, 29 from Chapatali village in Mostafapur Union and Sumon Matabber, 22 from Bhadrokhola village in Ghatmajhi Union.
Sirajul went inside the septic tank at the under-construction building to clean it, said Hassan.
Sumon went in later when Sirajul didn't respond, reports bdnews24.com.
The fire service was called later after Sumon failed to return.
The fire service recovered the two of them and took to hospital where the doctor on duty declared them dead, said OC Hassan.
