A man was killed as a bus ran over him in city's Shahbagh area on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Omar Faruk, 50, a private car driver and son of Abdus Salam of Matlab from Chandpur district.
The accident took place around 10 am when a bus hit Faruk while crossing the road in the area, leaving him injured, said Sub-inspector Shahed of Shahbagh Police Station, reports UNB.
Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the duty doctors declared him dead around 11:30 am.
