Stairs installed at several locations of the Mayor Hanif Flyover in Dhaka have to be removed after the Supreme Court upheld a previous court order.
The 11.7-km long flyover, connecting the capital's Gulistan with Jatrabari, was opened in 2010.
The Public Private Partnership venture's operator, Orion Infrastructure Ltd, installed several stairs used by pedestrians to enter and exit the flyover.
The Dhaka South City Corporation says the stairs are in violation of the original design, according to bdnews24.com.
