Trader gets jailed after fish found in milk container

A mobile court in Sirajganj on Saturday sentenced a milk trader to three months jail after a live fish (locally known as Tengra) was found in a container of adulterated milk at Dahakula Bazar in Mohanpur of Ullapara upazila.

The convict was identified as Abdul Mottalib of Ghurka Beltala village in Raiganj upazila, reports UNB.

Mobile court Judge Arifuzzaman, also the Upazila Nirbahi Officer, passed the order after the trader was caught red-handed while mixing water with 8 mounds of milk in the morning.

Upazila Sanitary Inspector Shahidul Islam said Mottalib had been selling adulterated milk for long.
