Tribal woman, mother found dead in Dhaka city

A Garo tribal woman and her mother have been found dead at their apartment in Dhaka’s Kalachandpur area under Gulshan Police Station.

Inspector Salauddin at the police station told bdnews24 news agency that they found the bodies of Sujata Chiring, 45, and her mother Besset Chiring, 65, in their flat on the third floor of the building at Kalachandpur on Tuesday evening.

The law enforcers first saw the body of Sujata in a pool of blood on a bed. They suspect she was hacked to death, reports bdnews24.

Upon searching the room, police officials found Sujata’s mother dead under the bed.

Police suspect Besset was strangled.

The law enforcers detained Sujata’s daughter, son-in-law, and two of his friends for interrogation.
