Two people were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between two trucks at Sayedabad in Sirajganj Sadar upazila on early Thursday.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Abdul Hamid, deputy assistant of Sirajganj Fire Service and Civil Defense, said the accident took place around 1:00 am when a Northern region-bound iron rod-laden truck from Dhaka collided head on with another truck, leaving two people dead on the spot and two others injured.
On information, a firefighting unit went to the spot and recovered the bodies, UNB reported.
The injured were taken to a local hospital.
