Two people were killed and 20 others injured as a bus overturned on Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Ghinagazi area of Cumilla’s Chauddagram upazila early Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Swapan Kumar Sutradhar, son of Bancharaz Sutradhar, hailing from Dighunia village of Faridpur district and Asad Mallik, hailing from Raghunathpur village in Pabna district, said a UNB news report.
Abul Hossain, sub-inspector of Miabazar highway police, said the Faridpur-bound bus overturned on the highway at 3 am as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving the duo dead on the spot and 20 others injured.
