Another woman was allegedly gang-raped at a Banani guest house in the capital on Saturday evening.
Nine months back, a similar incident occurred at The Raintree Dhaka hotel at the same area.
The young woman, 18, was invited to a birthday party of her friend Rajiv Ahmed at The Star Guest House in Banani on Saturday night.
Sources said the woman had introduced with Rajib through cell phone few days back.
After reaching at the guest house at about 8:30pm she found there Rajib along with his friend Joy.
Later, the arrestees confined her and raped her several times, according to the case statement of the woman.
After rescuing herself from the spot, the victim woman lodged a case against Rajib and Joy with Banani police station on Sunday night over the incident.
Banani police station duty officer SI Kalim said police arrested two accused, Rajiv Ahmed and Rubel, following the statement of the victim.
Police sent the victim to ‘one stop crisis center’ of Dhaka medical college hospital for medical test.
Police yet to receive the test report, said SI Kalim.
Police said arrested youths will be produced before a court and will seek a five-day remand to interrogate them.
On May 6 last year, two university girls were allegedly raped at The Raintree Dhaka hotel.
