Youth gets six-month jail for stalking schoolgirl in Faridpur

A mobile court has sentenced a young man to six months in jail for stalking a schoolgirl at Ramdeb Nagar village of Boalmari upazila in Faridpur.

The convict is Mehedi Islam, 19, son of Akubbar, a resident of the village.

Mehedi and Imarat Hossain Tauhid, 14, son of Nazrul Islam, were produced before the mobile court led by executive magistrate Mohammad Jakir Hossain on Friday evening in connection with stalking a schoolgirl at the village.

Besides, the court also asked Boalmari Probation officer to take steps against Tauhid for his involvement in the incident under the Children Act, UNB reported.
