Habiganj Agro celebrates completion of ECA deal

Habiganj Agro Limited, a concern of PRAN-RFL Group has recently completed their first Export Credit Agency (ECA) deal with Riverstone Capital Limited, a boutique merchant bank in Bangladesh, said a statement.

Under the deal, Riverstone arranged fund for Habiganj Agro Limited from SACE Italy, an Italian export credit agency for purchasing machinery from leading Italian suppliers including SACMI Italy.

A programme was arranged Wednesday at a city hotel to mark the successful completion of the deal.

Addressing the event, Uzma Chowdhury, Director (Corporate Finance) of PRAN-RFL Group, said this is a milestone transaction for the group which was completed with the assistance of Riverstone.

Ashraf Ahmed, CEO of River Stone Capital, said this alternative financial solution has opened up a new capital raising frontier for PRAN-RFL Group to support their high growth potential in Bangladesh and the global market.

Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, Chairman and CEO of PRAN-RFL Group, Eleash Mridha, Managing Director of PRAN Group, Syed Sadique Reza, Head of Organization and Syed Bakhtiar Hossain, Associate Director of Riverstone Capital Ltd, among others, were present on the occasion.
