BCB announces squad for World Cup 2019

Bangladesh have named the 15-member squad for the ICC World Cup in England and Wales scheduled to start on May 30.

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza will lead the squad, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced at a press conference at Sher-E-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Though there are no major surprises in the team, the inclusions of batsman Mosaddek Hossain and pacer Abu Jayed are considered to be the notable factor, according to reports.

Pacer Taskin Ahmed was left out of the squad due to his injuries.

Squad: Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (C), Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan (VC), Soumya Sarkar, Litton Kumer Das, Sabbir Rahman, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mohammad Mithun, Rubel Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mosaddek Hossain, Abu Jayed.
