Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam's six-wicket haul helped Bangladesh restrict visiting Zimbabwe to 282 all out in the 1st innings before the lunch break on day two of the first Test at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Zimbabwe lost their last five wickets for the addition of 46 runs to their overnight 236 for 5, and lasted 26.3 overs. Peter Moor battled his way to a 63 not out, but was left holding the bag by the quick fall of wickets at the other end.

Liton Das and Imrul Kayes, the Bangladesh openers, played out a single over before the umpires called for lunch, according to a UNB report.

Brief Score:
Zimbabwe 1st innings: 282/10 in 117.3 overs [overnight 236/5 in 91 overs]; Sean Williams 88, Peter Moor 63*, Hamilton Masakadza 52, Taijul Islam 6/108, Nazmul Islam2/49, Mahmudullah Riyad 1/3, Abu Jayed 1/68.
