WOMEN are becoming increasingly conscious about their rights and obligations. The situation was different even 10/15 years ago when they were mostly confined within the four walls of their households. Now they are coming out and working in different sectors. Those who cannot go outdoors are now doing online business. Some are in employment with online businesses. As a woman I personally feel proud and elevated. Nearly 40-60 per cent online businesses today are owned and operated by women from different professions. These women entrepreneurs are participating in fairs also.
One of the well known fairs is "Jhalmuri" which was held from March 17 to 19, 2017 for the third time in a row. Stringz, Sweet Potato, U, 6 Yards Story are the well known online businesses that took part in "Jhalmuri". A girls' group from Face book named "MEYE" organise every year a fair called "Rangta Mela" which was first held from March 24-25, 2013 with the objective of improving the lot of women. These events are evidences of women's achievements. Having done incredibly well in different areas of activity, women are still deprived of their social rights. Women in some countries have to lose their homes, because they have no sons and only daughters. This is very disgraceful. We must recognise the rights of women and appreciate their growing performance in the field of entrepreneurship and contribution to society.
