Facebook launches Creator app to rival Youtube

Facebook launched its Creator app on Thursday standing of rivalling Youtube that currently holds around 24 per cent of market share with roughly 900 million visits per week.

With this platform, the social media giant offers influencers through this app a means to foster communities around their contents.

The Facebook video app has features of talking directly to fans with Live, and monetise with products like branded content. Currently, Facebook has more than two billion potential fans and collaborators,

It also providers exclusive tools such as a Live Creative Kit, and with this, creators can add intros and outros to broadcasts.

Facebook also has also a unified inbox connected with Instagram comments and Messenger chats, cross-posting to Twitter and comprehensive analytics.

The Creator app has been launched globally this week particularly on iOSdevices with plans to roll out on Android within the coming months.
