Dhaka bourse displayed volatility in broad index following mixed performance of major sectors.
The market opened positively and soon later the broad index failed to continue the upward trend on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
After 20 minutes, a recovery stance was observed but the DSE broad index DSEX failed to exist above the day’s starting mark.
After one hour of the session, the DSEX shed 0.01 per cent or 0.24 point to stand at 5399.64 points.
The shariah based index DSES declined 0.06 per cent or 0.78 point to 1253.40 points.
The DS30 index comprising blue chip securities went down by 0.04 per cent or 0.91 point to 1902.25.
Of total issues are being traded, 132 advanced, 104 declined and 70 were unchanged after one hour of the session.
And the turnover stood at above Tk 1.51 billion on the premier bourse.
Khulna Power Company was on top turnover chart with a value of Tk 143 million followed by United Power Generation and Distribution Company, Dragon Sweater and Spinning, Summit Power and Nurani Dyeing.
