Dhaka bourse declined marginally amid ups and downs observed on Tuesday.
The market started the session with a positive note but shortly afterwards it failed to continue the upward trend.
The major sectors including bank were in correction mood on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
After two hours of the session, the DSE broad index DSEX shed 0.25 per cent or 13.48 points to stand at 5370.92 points.
The shariah based index DSES lost 0.04 per cent or 0.51 point to 1248.70 points.
The DS30 index comprising blue chip securities went down by 0.32 per cent or 6.11 points to 1893.79.
Of total issues are being traded, 101 advanced, 152 declined and 75 were unchanged.
The turnover stood at above Tk 2.29 billion on the premier bourse DSE after two hours of Tuesday’s session.
Khulna Power Company was on top of turnover chart with a value Tk 186 million followed by Summit Power, VFS Thread Dyeing, Silva Pharmaceuticals and Active Fine Chemicals.
