Auto tempo registration in the country witnessed a significant decline in 2018 compared to that recorded in 2017.
A total of 609 auto tempos were registered in 2018, while it was 1,592 the year before, according to the statistics provided by Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA).
At the latest, a total of 2,064 such mode of vehicles have been registered with the BRTA in the capital until 2018, it said.
The number of registered auto tempos in the capital stood at 1,095 in 2015 and 1,322 in 2016, the BRTA data further added.
