Banks near cattle markets to remain open Tuesday

The Bangladesh Bank has asked the commercial banks to keep open their branches adjoining to cattle markets in the Dhaka city area on Tuesday to ensure smooth transactions.

A BB circular on Monday said banks can keep open their branches adjoining to the cattle markets in Dhaka city from 10am to 6pm as general banking and 6pm to 8pm as evening banking, reports BSS.

The central bank also instructed the banks to arrange allowances for the officials and employees, who will perform duties on the day.
