The MGH Group has been presented with the ‘India’s Greatest Brands – 2017-18’ award.

The ‘India’s Greatest Brands & Leaders’ awards are among India’s most prestigious in the business sector and are presented by Asia-based research and business magazine AsiaOne and PricewaterhouseCoopers, the second largest accounting firm in the world, according to a MGH Group statement.

The award show was held on Sept 10 at the Hotel Taj Lands End in Mumbai. Corporate leaders from 20 industries and representatives from over 100 brands, including Cisco India Managing Director Sanjay Kaul and Times of India Group Managing Director Vineet Jain, attended the event.

Guest Karishma Kapoor presented the award to MGH. It was received by Himanshu Pant, executive director and country head India, on behalf of MGH Group and founder and CEO Anis Ahmed.

Ahmed also received ‘India’s Greatest Leaders 2017-18’ award.

MGH was also recognised earlier in the year at the ‘National Awards for Excellence & Leadership in Logistics, Supply Chain & Warehousing’. MGH Logistics was honoured as ‘Best End-to-End Service Provider” and “Best Complete Solutions Provider’ on Sept 5.

“The year of 2017, and 2018 have been remarkable for MGH not only in terms of winning new businesses but also in offering unconventional and value added supply chain solutions to its global fast fashion, automotive and pharma brand customers,” said the statement.

“With last-mile delivery being the next big thing in logistics alongside the use of blockchain in the logistics industry, MGH Group's early steps to improve in the particular field have allowed MGH's prowess to get industry-wide recognition in 2018 as well.”

The MGH Group is a multinational conglomerate that operates in the fast fashion, automotive, healthcare supply chain management, cargo management, global distribution system, FM radio, branded food, commercial banking, tea plantation and ride-sharing industries, reports bdnews24.

MGH, which operates subsidiaries in 18 countries, plans to expand to new offices in Saudi Arabia and China in 2019.
