RAJUK body revises land prices in N’ganj, Nikunja, Uttara

The property revaluation committee of RAJUK has submitted the new price list of per-katha land at Narayanganj, Nikunja and Uttara, and per-square-foot space at Hatirjheel project and duplex flat at Gulshan.

The committee of the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) came up with the new price at its last monthly coordination meeting in July following the instruction of the housing ministry.

At a meeting in January 2011, the RAJUK had approved the prices of land in other areas except for the property in Narayanganj, Nikunja and Uttara commercial areas.

The monthly coordination meeting of the housing ministry held on June 24, 2018, asked the agencies and departments that failed to revalue the property to submit their reports after re-fixing the prices to the ministry at the next meeting.

As per the decision of the RAJUK's meeting held in May 2017, the price of commercial plots at Narayanganj was fixed at Tk 7.5 million per katha as per the recommendation of the revaluation committee.

In another monthly meeting held in August 2017, the property revaluation committee fixed the prices of per-katha land at Nikunja and Uttara. The prices of per-square-foot space of duplex flats at 130 No. Road at Gulshan and Hatirjheel project area were also fixed.

As per the decision of that meeting, per-katha land in Nikunja commercial area has been fixed at Tk 51 million while the amount is Tk 60 million for Uttara, Tk 35 million for Sonargaon Janapath Road at Uttara, and Tk 20 million for Eastern side plots of 13 No. sector park.

The meeting fixed the price of per-square-foot space of the duplex flat constructed on the 18 No. plot of 130 No. Road of Gulshan at Tk 11,000 and the price of per-square-foot space at Hatirjheel at Tk 8,000.
