SHOMA works at a government hospital and goes to her office from her Arambag residence to TB gate regularly by public transport. She is pregnant although her pregnancy is at an early stage. She goes to office either via Moghbazar to Link road and then to TB gate or straight from Arambag to Mohakhali. Either way she has to change vehicles at least twice.
Furthermore, the road from Rampura to Moghbagar has been in a bad shape for a long time and it is risky for her to negotiate this route not to speak of the unusually long and unbearable travel time due to traffic jam. Mohgbazar flyover has been partly opened which has made traffic movement from one end of the flyover to the other more difficult and the journey takes longer than before.
We urge upon the Road Transport Minister Obaidul Kader and concerned authorities to please look into the mater and introduce suitable bus services considering the problems of TB gate-bound passengers from Motijheel or Arambag instead of constructing more flyovers in the area.
