Speakers emphasise on importance of Electronic Payments

Speakers at a seminar have discussed the present status of the e-commerce industry in Bangladesh and stressed on the importance of Electronic Payments to flourish the industry.

They also discussed the problems and prospects of E-Commerce in Bangladesh and proposed possible solutions to those issues, according to a release.

The seminar was jointly organised by e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) and Software Shop Limited (SSL Wireless) recently at Westin Hotel in the city.

The title of the seminar was “Electronic Payments for driving E-Commerce in Bangladesh” and the event was sponsored by Visa.

President of e-CAB Shomi Kaiser gave the welcome address of the seminar.

Mohammad Abdul Haque, Finance Secretary at e-CAB, Tanvir Ahmed Mishuk, Director, e-CAB, Salman Rashid, CEO & Founder of Flight Expert, Abdul Muqit Ahmed, Director of Digital Services at Banglalink, Shahzada Redwan, CTO at SSL Wireless, and moderated by Fahim Masroor, CEO, Bdjobs.com & Ajkerdeal spoke at the programme, among others.
