Excitement builds at the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) as students gear up for Tech Fusion Fest 2025. This highly anticipated technology festival, organised by the BASIS Students' Forum of BUBT Chapter, will take place on November 17, 18, and 19 this year. The entire campus will transform into a vibrant hub of creativity, coding, and teamwork, bringing together some of the country's most promising young innovators.
This year's festival aims to unite technology with imagination. For three dynamic days, hundreds of participants will showcase their skills through brainstorming sessions, hackathons, and digital storytelling contests, pushing the boundaries of creativity and collaboration.
Segment 1— Software Development Project Idea Pitching & Showcasing: The event will open with Software Development Project Idea Pitching & Showcasing, where student teams will present innovative concepts designed to tackle real-world problems. This segment will encourage creative thinking by identifying pressing issues, proposing practical solutions, and leveraging technology to drive meaningful change.
Judges drawn from both academia and industry will evaluate projects based on creativity, feasibility, and potential impact. For participants, this represents a valuable opportunity to receive professional feedback and refine their approaches under expert guidance.
Segment 2— Hacktasyne - The 10-hour Hackathon: The festival's main attraction, Hacktasyne, compresses the entire development cycle into an intense ten-hour challenge. Teams must brainstorm, design, and build functional prototypes in just half a day. This hackathon tests not only technical proficiency but also the capacity to collaborate effectively under pressure, demanding quick decision-making and strategic resource allocation.
Segment 3— the art of perfection, ad making challenge: The Art of Perfection shifts focus to storytelling and visual communication. Students create short, engaging digital advertisements promoting real or imaginary brands. This challenge highlights that innovation extends beyond coding into design, narrative construction, and marketing strategy—demonstrating how technology communicates value across diverse audiences.
Building connections beyond competition: Beyond the competitive elements, Tech Fusion Fest 2025 creates a unique environment for learning, connection, and professional growth. Students from different departments collaborate and exchange ideas, fostering cross-disciplinary partnerships. Mentors and faculty members actively support participating teams, helping them transform abstract concepts into tangible outcomes.
Organisers deliberately designed the event to bridge the gap between students and the constantly evolving IT industry. With backing from the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), the festival will prepare students for the realities of the tech sector. Participants will network with industry professionals, learn about internship opportunities and career pathways, and gain valuable insights into entrepreneurship and startup culture.
The BASIS Students' Forum of BUBT Chapter firmly believes that today's students will become tomorrow's tech leaders. Through events like Tech Fusion Fest, the organisation empowers youths by providing structured platforms to display their talents and inspire change within Bangladesh's digital ecosystem.
The countdown begins: As registration opens and the event draws near, anticipation fills BUBT's campus. Posters adorn hallways, teams are forming, and ideas are flowing freely. Tech Fusion Fest 2025 represents more than just a competition, it's a showcase of creativity and teamwork, giving a platform to the incredible potential of Bangladesh's youths. With each project pitched and every story shared, BUBT students aren't simply competing; they're actively shaping the future of innovation in Bangladesh.
