National Science Teachers’ Conference 2026 to empower educators across Bangladesh

Bangladesh Freedom Foundation (BFF), Human Resource Development Institute (HRDI) of Daffodil International University (DIU), and Daffodil International Professional Training Institute (DIPTI) formally signed a Terms of Reference (ToR) to jointly organize the National Secondary School Science Teachers’ Conference 2026, a nationwide initiative aimed at strengthening science education and enhancing the professional capacity of secondary-level science teachers across Bangladesh.
The signing ceremony was held at the DIPTI Office in Dhaka in the presence of distinguished representatives from the partner organizations, according to a media release.
The event was graced by Dr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Chief Executive Officer of Daffodil Group.
The ToR was signed by Dr. K M Hasan Ripon, Executive Director, DIPTI & Skills and Ecosystems, Daffodil Group; Amir Hamza, Assistant Director, Human Resource Development Institute (HRDI), Daffodil International University; and Sazzadur Rahman Chowdhury, Executive Director, Bangladesh Freedom Foundation (BFF).
Under this partnership, the organizations will jointly organize the National Secondary School Science Teachers’ Conference 2026, bringing together approximately 150 science teachers from different regions of Bangladesh.
The conference will serve as a national platform for knowledge sharing, professional development, collaboration, and the promotion of innovative and technology-enabled science education practices.
The initiative aims to strengthen teachers’ professional competencies, encourage inquiry-based learning approaches, promote the use of digital learning tools, support science club activities, and establish a National Science Teachers Network to foster long-term collaboration among educators throughout the country.
The National Secondary School Science Teachers’ Conference 2026 is expected to play a significant role in building a future-ready science education ecosystem and empowering teachers to inspire the next generation of innovators, researchers, and problem-solvers in Bangladesh, the release adds.
