Abbas, Nazrul, Rizvi, 7 others made advisers to prime minister

The government has appointed 10 individuals as advisers to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman under Rule 3(b) of the Rules of Business, 1996, according to news portals.

Among them, five advisers have been granted the status of minister, and the rest of them have been granted the status of state minister.

A notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Tuesday evening said the government appointed Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed, Nazrul Islam Khan, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, Md Ismail Jabiullah, and Dr Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir as advisers with the status of minister.

Humayun Kabir, Brigadier General (Retd) Shamsul Islam, Dr Zahedur Rahman, Dr Mahadi Amin, and Rehan Asif Asad were appointed as advisers with the status of state minister.

The order of appointments takes immediate effect, according to the notification.
