Another prosecution witness has testified in the corruption case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) against former inspector general of police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed over allegations of amassing more than Tk 110 million in wealth beyond known sources of income.

Faisal Kabir, assistant director (technical) of the Department of Textiles under the Bangladesh Textile Mills Corporation (BTMC), gave evidence before Dhaka Special Judge’s Court-5 on Thursday.

Judge Abdullah Al Mamun recorded his testimony.

ACC Prosecutor Mir Ahmed Ali Salam said the court had fixed Aug 17 for the next hearing.

He said 15 of the 28 prosecution witnesses listed in the case have now testified.
