Appellate Div judges meet President

Judges of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, led by Acting Chief Justice Md Abdul Wahhab Miah, called on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Sunday.

During the meeting, the Acting Chief Justice apprised the President of the overall activities of Supreme Court of Bangladesh, President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told UNB.

He invited the President to join the Judicial Conference scheduled to be held on December 2, 2017.

Informing Mr Hamid that the Supreme Court Day would be observed on January 2, 2018, Wahhab Miah also invited him to attend the function on the day.

President Hamid said judiciary is the last shelter for people to seek justice, hoping that all officials of the judiciary, including the Supreme Court, will perform their duty with fairness and sincerity to ensure justice to people.
