Babar Ali becomes first Bangladeshi to conquer Mount Lhotse

Babar Ali has successfully conquered Lhotse, the fourth-highest mountain in the world, becoming the first to summit Lhotse and the first to climb two 8,000-meter peaks in a single expedition.

He scaled Mount Lhotse at 5:50 am (Nepal time) on Tuesday, his organisation, Vertical Dreamers, shared the news in a Facebook post.

On Sunday morning, he conquered Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world, according to local media reports.

Babar Ali, a physician from Hathazari upazila in Chattogram, is the first Bangladeshi mountaineer to have managed to climb Everest and Lhotse.
