Bangladesh has ranked 100th out of 106 in the 2025 global passport index.
The index, published by UK-based Henley & Partners on Tuesday, placed the country alongside North Korea.
According to the ranking report, a Bangladeshi passport holder can travel visa-free or with visa-on-arrival to 38 destinations.
Bangladesh passport ranking is seventh from the bottom of the index, which means it is the seventh weakest passport globally.
According to previous years’ indices, Bangladesh ranked 100th in January 2025, 97th in 2024, and 101st in 2023.
In South Asia, Maldives performed the best, ranking 56th and having visa-free access to 94 destinations.
At the global level, Singapore maintained the top position for the second consecutive year, offering visa-free travel to 193 destinations.
At the other end of the index, Afghanistan remained the lowest-ranked passport at 106th, with visa-free access to just 24 destinations.
