Bhorer Kajog editor Shyamal Dutta barred from travelling to India

Immigration police on Tuesday afternoon prevented Shyamal Dutta, editor of the Daily Bhorer Kajog, from travelling to India.

He was stopped at 3pm because his name is on the travel ban list, said Khairul Alam, officer-in-charge (immigration) at Akhaura Land Port in Brahmanbaria, Bangla Tribune reports.

Dutta – who attempted to travel to India with his wife and one daughter – later returned home, immigration police sources said.
