A bomb explosion left a man dead at Mordana Bamunpara village in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj on Friday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Taifur Rahman, 40, son of Fazlur Rahman.
Habibur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station, said the blast took place around 1:45pm, leaving him critically injured.
He was taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Later, police recovered bomb-making substances from the spot.
According to UNB, police alleged that Taifur was making bombs on the rooftop of his brother Saifuddin’s house.
