Police recovered the body of a young man in a sack from Ambaghicha Khalpar area in Dhaka in the early early hours of Thursday.
The dead man was an auto-rickshaw driver Sagor, 30, from Golachipa upazila in Patuakhali. He used to live in a rented house in the area.
Local people of Keraniganj spotted the body first sacked under the bed of the house and informed police, UNB reported.
Police then recovered the body and sent it for an autopsy, said Kamrul Islam, sub-inspector of Dakhshin Keraniganj Police Station.
A murder case was filed.
