A physician was killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway near Kaliganga bridge in Manikganj’s Sadar upazila on Thursday.
The victim was identified as Dr Monjurul Alam Khan, 42, a resident of Nilambar Patti village under Singair upazila of the district, reports BSS.
Highway Police Residential Medical Officer (RMO) of Manikganj Sadar Hospital Dr Lutfar Rahman said a sand-laden truck hit Khan’s motorbike on way to his workplace at Daulatpur at around 9:30am, leaving him critically injured.
He was first taken to Manikganj Sadar Hospital. As his condition deteriorated, family members took him to Enam Medical College Hospital, Savar where he died.
