Police recovered the beheaded body of a woman from a field at Sholodag in Bheramara upazila of Kushtia district on Friday, a week after she had gone missing.
The deceased was identified as Nasima Khatun, 30, wife of Mabidul of Sonaikundi village in Daulatpur upazila, reports UNB.
Local people spotted the body of the woman, wearing burqa, and informed the matter to police, said MollaKhabir, officer-in-charge of Bheramara Police Station.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to local hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police said Nasima went out her house on July 4 and since then she remained missing.
