Police have secured a total of 10 days' remand for Mobarak Hossain Emon, also known as David Emon, in two separate cases.

On Sunday afternoon, police sought a total of 14 days' remand—seven days each—in connection with a murder case and an arms case at the court of Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Motasim Billah.

Additional Superintendent of Police Kazi Md Tarek Aziz of the Hathazari Circle told bdnews24.com, "The court granted five days' remand for Emon in the murder case and another five days in the arms case."

"In the arms case, the court also granted five days' remand for each of the four other suspects for interrogation."

The four other accused are Md Mithu, also known as Dhama Ilias; Mohammad Shamim; Mohammad Safayet Hossain; and Al Islam Alif.

Later, at the court of Judicial Magistrate Md Lokman Hakim, police applied to show Emon arrested in an extortion case filed with Hathazari Police Station in Chattogram. Following a hearing, the court approved the application.
